Progress on ongoing issues:
After consultation the Pembrokeshire County Council agreed to move the Gumfreston road sign closer to the village and the police are to be approached to take action against the speeds that vehicles are traveling through the village. The Pembrokeshire County Council will be asked for a schedule of the grass cutting in this area. The application to convert the Public Entertainment License is nearing completion and will be submitted to the Licensing Department shortly. Once the costs of the licenses have been ascertained and other costs have been reviewed a list of revised charges for the hire of the hall will be submitted for approval. The low wall to separate the entrance to the village hall from the playing field is completed, the painting of the village hall and the maintenance needed will be discussed at the next meeting.

Planning:
Permission has been granted for the erection of six dwellings on land adjacent to Elm Grove, St Florence and for a storage shed for tractors, hay and implements to be erected at Trefalun Park, Devonshire Drive, St Florence.

Any other business:
The Pembrokeshire County Council requested that the public should be encouraged to act quickly and inform the police if there was any indication of an illegal rave being organized. Her Majesty’s Courts Services advised that they proposed to merge certain Local Justice Areas within Dyfed Powys and the Countryside Council for Wales confirmed that Pembrokeshire Marine has been entered onto the register of European sites by the National Assembly for Wales. This means that its legal status as a Special Area of Conservation is recorded in the Register of Local Land Charges kept by the local authority. The Local Health Board sent information on their proposed Primary Care Estates Strategy for Pembrokeshire. The document outlines proposed changes to primary care services in Pembrokeshire. ‘Have your say’ questionnaires were distributed about the village regarding the introduction of a new 8 hour a week policy for the Post Office. Further information and objections can be forwarded to the Customer Helpline: 08457 22 33 44 or Email via the website: www.postoffice.co.uk. A new oil tank is to be installed at the village hall. The matter was raised and discussed that in order for planning requests to be brought to the attention of the public, the Pembrokeshire County Council should forward the applications earlier, there should be more information supplied and more attention and response to concerns raised by the Community Council.

Next Meeting:
The next meeting will be held at the St Florence Village Hall on Monday 12th September 2005
