Primarily, the club is a monthly lottery which is supported by approximately 90% of the village households. Numbers can be bought for £1 each and a draw is held every month (usually on the last Saturday). This draw takes place in one of the village pubs. Dates of draws, winners and venues are all publicised locally.

At Christmas there is a Grand Draw, with over 100 prizes, in which all numbers are entered free (subject to the club rules). In addition to the monthly prizes and Grand Draw, proceeds are used to fund parties or activities for various groups of people in the village.
